NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- The National Champion IU Southeast Cheerleading squad will hold tryouts for the 2010-11 season on Saturday, April 24.

The tryout will be held from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the IU Southeast Activities Building for all girls interested in joining the team. The IU Southeast Cheerleading team is an all-girl squad who cheers both men's and women's home games. The team also competes at Nationals in March every year.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - This past weekend, the Indiana University Southeast cheerleading team won its second consecutive National Championship at the Cheer Ltd. Open College Nationals.

The IU Southeast cheerleaders captured the national championship in the All-Girl Medium Collegiate Division over Western Connecticut State University on Saturday (3/20) evening. To win the championship, IU Southeast competed in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with 17 other schools ranging from NAIA to NCAA Division I.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The National Champion IU Southeast Cheerleading team is holding a youth cheerleading clinic on Saturday, December 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost is $25 for pre-registration and $30 at the door. The clinic is designed for cheerleaders four years old up to fifth grade and includes lunch, t-shirt and a ribbon. All participants will get to cheer during halftime of the IU Southeast men's basketball game on Dec. 5.
