NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The fall sports Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Preseason Coaches' Polls were released Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010.

The IU Southeast women's tennis team was selected to finish first in the conference according to the preseason poll. The team received five first place votes with a total of 40 points to put them on top of this year's competition.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 115 women's tennis players have been named 2009-10 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Abby Enteman, a women's tennis junior for IU Southeast was one of 115 athletes who were named a women's tennis scholar-athlete. Enteman is a junior from Floyds Knobs, Ind. and previously attended Floyd Central High School. Enteman was named to the KIAC All-Conference team and helped lead her team to 13-3 overall season record at the No. 5 singles position. Enteman also competed at the No. 2 doubles spot for the Grenadiers.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for this award.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Indiana University Southeast women's tennis team finds itself just outside the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll this week. The Grenadier women's program received 18 overall votes for the top 25 ranking. The Grenadiers are currently 12-2 overall with an undefeated 8-0 record in the KIAC under first year head coach Jenni Walters.

Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) earns 343 points and 12 first place votes to earn the No. 1 ranking in the coaches' top 25 poll for the 46th straight time, the NAIA announced on Tuesday. No. 2 Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University earned one first-place vote to remain in second place.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The IU Southeast women's tennis program earned a No. 23 national ranking in the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll as announced Tuesday by the NAIA national office. The IU Southeast women's tennis team is currently 10-2 overall and an undefeated 8-0 in the KIAC. The Grenadiers will begin the spring portion of their season on April 3 when they host Centre College at 10 a.m. in New Albany.

Six-time defending national champion Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) is named No. 1 in the NAIA Top 25 Preseason Poll. The Lady Senators have been ranked at the top of the poll for 41 consecutive ratings, dating back to Feb. 11, 2004.
