NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast baseball team could break school history tomorrow. With today's 4-3 win over Miami University Hamilton, the IU Southeast baseball team tied its consecutive win streak record at 11 games.

The IU Southeast baseball team will have a chance to break the consecutive win record on Friday afternoon when the team hosts Berea College for a conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The Grenadiers currently have a13-7 overall record and are off to their most impressive start in recent history.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast baseball team is on the verge of possibly breaking history this weekend. Last year, the IU Southeast baseball team broke the university consecutive win streak record at 11 games.

This year's team is currently on a 10 game win streak dating back March 4, 2010. The Grenadiers will have a chance to tie and break the consecutive win mark set last year on Friday afternoon when the team hosts Berea College for a conference (KIAC) doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - IU Southeast junior Jordan Pass has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for March 1 - March 7. This is the first time this season that pass has won the conference player of the week award.

Pass is a 5'10" junior infielder from Louisville, Ky. He went 4 of 8 against Indiana Institute of Technology with two runs. Pass also drove home four runs in a win over Cardinal Stritch University.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - IU Southeast senior Brent Bennett has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week for March 1 - March 7. This is the first time this season that Bennett has won conference's weekly top pitching honor.

Bennett is a 6'2" senior pitcher from Madison, Indiana (Ancillia C.C). He only gave up five hits during a shutout of Anderson University. In seven innings pitched, Bennett gave up four walks and struck two out.

FLORENCE, Ky. - Former Indiana University Southeast baseball player and current Grenadier assistant baseball coach Beau Manning has signed a professional baseball contract with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League.

Manning, a Louisville native who played at Christian Academy in high school, was offered a contract after playing last year for the Big Bend Cowboys of the Continental Baseball League in Alpine, Texas.

Last year, Manning was a valuable hitter in the Cowboys lineup batting .312 with 52 RBI and seven homeruns. He was also efficient at the plate with a .401 on-base percentage and only 14 strikeouts in 205 at-bats.
