KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 80 men's tennis players have been named 2009-10 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Adam Denney, a men's tennis junior for IU Southeast was one of 80 athletes who were named a men's tennis scholar-athlete. Denny is a junior from Bedford, Ind. and previously attended Bedford North Lawrence High School. Denney was named to the KIAC All-Conference team and finished the year 8-7 at the No. 2 singles spot for the Grenadiers who finished the year with a 9-6 overall record.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for this award.
