LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2010 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Baseball Poll was released this week. All KIAC baseball coaches at member schools participated in the polling on the regular season finish of the conference teams.

In baseball, Indiana University Southeast is projected as the top team, with 31 points out of a possible 36. Three of the six first place votes were secured by IU Southeast. Asbury College gained two first place votes and finished with 30 points.

Open Tryouts Begin

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - On Monday, August 31, 2009 the IU Southeast baseball program will begin the first day of open tryouts for the 2010 baseball team.

Head Coach Ben Reel requests that all players interested on playing be at the Koetter Sports Baseball Field at 4 p.m.

All those interesting in trying out much have a physical and bring proper baseball attire to the tryout.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - On August 21, 2009 the IU Southeast baseball program will host a mandatory meeting of returning players and any student interested in trying out for the 2010 baseball team.
 
Head Coach Ben Reel requests that all returning players and those interested in trying out for the team report to Room 127 in University Center North at 6 p.m on Aug. 21.

ADDISON, Texas -- Congratulations to former Grenadier baseball player Beau Manning for being named Player of the Week in the Continental Baseball League (CBL) for the week ending July 19th.
 
Manning went 8-for-15 from the plate with two homeruns, one of which was a grad slam, 14 RBIs, seven runs, and four walks.
 
Manning is a second baseman for the professional independent-league Big Bend Cowboys in Alpine, Texas.
