NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast volleyball team took a hard loss to Asbury University 3-1 on Wednesday night (Sept. 8) at home.

The Grenadiers fell to the visiting Eagles of Asbury University: 18-25, 25-20, 20-25, 21-25.

The IU Southeast volleyball team is now 1-4 overall and has yet to begin play in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC).

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - IU Southeast Head Volleyball Coach Lesley Drury Prather officially announced the upcoming 2010 women's volleyball schedule on Tuesday morning (6/29).

A total of 32 regular season matches are lined up for the Grenadiers not counting potential post-season play. A total of ten home matches are on this year's schedule, all of which will be played in the Southeast Activities Building on campus.

Coach Drury Prather, entering her second season as a collegiate head coach, is looking forward to playing a tougher schedule this year.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Indiana University Southeast Volleyball team, under the direction of second year Head Coach Lesley Duruy Prather, conducted a community service project on Monday, March 8 at Eisenhower Elementary School in Louisville, Ky.

The Grenadiers participated in an after-school program called "Girl Power" where 4th and 5th grade girls learn about a variety of sports and about the importance of staying fit. Several players and coaches from IU Southeast went to talk to the girls about going to college and about keeping healthy.

WILMORE, Ky. - The No. 2-seeded IU Southeast volleyball team was defeated by No. 3-seed and tournament host, Asbury College 3-0 in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Volleyball Tournament Semifinals on Saturday afternoon in Wilmore, Ky.

The Eagles of Asbury swept IU Southeast and moved into the finals for the second straight year. Hindered by illness at the end of the season, IU Southeast finishes its season with an overall record of 23-12. The Grenadiers went 7-1 overall in the KIAC during the regular season under first year head coach Lesley Duruy-Prather.

WILMORE, Ky. - The IU Southeast volleyball team will be a No. 2-seed in this weekend's Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Volleyball Tournament at Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky.

Under first year Head Coach Lesley Drury-Prather, the Grenadiers finished the regular season with a 22-11 overall record. The team finished 7-1 in the KIAC with its lone loss coming to IU East last weekend in Richmond.

IU Southeast will face No. 7 Brescia University (3-19, 2-6 KIAC) at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 in the tournament quarterfinals.
