


BEREA, Ky. - Indiana University Southeast senior Megan Murphy was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 23. This is her third player of the week award of the season.
IU Southeast won all three games last week. Murphy recorded a double-double in each contest. She began the week with 17 points and 13 rebounds as IU Southeast defeated Brescia 71-45. The senior forward led the Grenadiers with 26 points and 12 rebounds in the 92-63 win against Miami-Middletown. She ended the week with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the 88-34 win against Miami Hamilton. For the week, Murphy averaged 20 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Murphy currently leads IU Southeast with 14.86 points per game and is third in NAIA Division II total rebounds per game (11.4).
IU Southeast is currently 16-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play. They will return to action on January 24 when they travel to Midway College for a conference game.


BEREA, Ky. - Indiana University Southeast senior Tia Wineinger was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 9.
IU Southeast won their only game last week. They defeated Alice Lloyd College on the road 82-54. Wineinger scored a career high 23 points and collected eight rebounds. The senior forward shot 71.4 percent from the field (10-of-14). She is currently averaging 7.89 points and 5.83 rebounds per game for the Grenadiers.
IU Southeast is currently 13-5 overall and 3-0 in conference play. They will return to action on January 14 when they travel to Asbury University for a conference game.
