Chris Burt is in his second year as the strength and conditioning coach for the men's basketball team at Indiana University Southeast. He has served as volunteer strength and conditioning consultant for the Grenadier baseball, basketball and women's softball programs since 2005. Hired by IU Southeast Athletic Director Pat Mrozowski in 2005 as a fitness center supervisor, Burt has conducted numerous fitness seminars for the IU Southeast community.

Prior to his stint at IU Southeast, Burt has served as the volunteer strength and conditioning coach for Shawnee High School's (Louisville, Ky.) football program. Burt's career as a strength and conditioning coach started in 2003 under the tutelage of local-renowned Exercise Physiologist Angela Carter-Lanon, while working for the YMCA of Greater Louisville.

A 2006 graduate of IU Southeast, Burt received his bachelor's degree in general studies with minors in supervision and recreation. He also earned a Master's of Science in health and wellness, with a concentration in performance enhancement and injury prevention, from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Burt currently works for IU Southeast and Ivy Tech Community College as an adjunct lecturer where he teaches various courses on strength and conditioning.

Burt is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds certifications from USA Weightlifting (Level 1 club coach, and referee) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (Performance Enhancement Specialist). Burt resides in Louisville, Ky. with his son Ian (5).
