
Wiley Brown begins his second season as head coach for the men's basketball program at Indiana University Southeast. During his first year at the helm of the men's basketball program, Brown led the Grenadiers to a 24-9 overall season record and an impressive 9-0 undefeated conference record which earned the team a spot in the final NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll. Brown also guided his team to both a KIAC regular-season title and a KIAC tournament championship which earned his squad a bid to the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship in Point Lookout, Mo.
A starting forward on the NCAA Division I National Champion basketball team at the University of Louisville in 1980 and a member of the 1982 Final Four team, Brown previously served in multiple capacities in the University of Louisville athletic department for the past 15 years. Brown served as strength and conditioning coordinator under both former Louisville Hall of Fame Head Coach Denny Crum and current Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino for a total of 13 years.
In 2003, Brown served as an interim assistant coach for the Louisville men's basketball program. Beginning in 2005, Brown served Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich as the assistant director of outreach and most recently as the director of community enrichment. During that time he managed fundraising efforts for outreach programs throughout greater Louisville and directed the CARDSfit program.
Brown is no stranger to playing at a competitive level. As a player at Louisville, Brown posted career totals of 699 points, 407 rebounds and 121 assists, helping the Cardinals to a combined 101-30 four-year record.
After finishing his successful collegiate basketball playing career, Brown joined the National Football League (NFL) where he played defensive end for two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. During his time with the Eagles' organization, Brown played under the direction of Dick Vermeil and Marion Campbell.
After his brief stint in the NFL, Brown returned to basketball. For seven years Brown played professional basketball in the International Federation of Basketball where he traveled throughout the world. Brown spent one year with the CBA Louisville Catbirds and the remaining six years in
Spain, France, and Italy.
A native of Sylvester, Ga., Brown kept a promise to his mother by earning his bachelor's degree in 1992 from the University of Louisville. He majored in communications, health education and Pan African studies. He was twice named to the U of L honor roll. He and his wife, Anne-Marie, reside in Louisville and have one son, Caleb.

Returning to the IU Southeast coaching staff for a fifth season is Antwain Banks.
During his six years as a member of the Grenadier basketball program (two as a player and four as a coach) Banks has helped IU Southeast reach 142 victories (72.9 win percentage) and four appearances at the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship in Point Lookout, Missouri. He has also helped lead the Grenadiers to the KIAC tournament championship contest in five out of the six years.
Banks has coached three NAIA All-American Honorable Mention athletes and eight KIAC All-Conference players during his five years with the IU Southeast coaching staff.
As a player, Banks guided IU Southeast to back-to-back conference titles (first time in school history). Banks was the starting point-guard and also served as a co-captain on the Grenadiers 2002-2003 squad. Under his leadership, the team tied a school record for wins at 21 and went to the national tournament for the first time in six years.
This year, Banks will assist with on-the-floor coaching, scouting, and recruiting. This past summer Banks served as camp director of the Wiley Brown Basketball Camp. Banks has always taken an active role in teaching the game of basketball to youth. In the past five years, Banks has worked summer basketball camps at Wake Forest, Norte Dame, Ohio State and Taylor.
Banks is a 1999 graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend, IN. He was 2nd Team All-Conference, along with being selected to the Sunburst All-Star Game his senior year. Banks helped lead the Eagles to an IHSAA Sectional Championship during the 1997-98 season.
After High School, Banks attend Ancilla Junior College where he started as point-guard for two years. At Ancilla, Banks helped lead his team to the first-ever Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) conference tournament appearance in school history.
Banks received his bachelor's degree from IU Southeast in 2004.

Alvin Thomas enters his third season as an assistant coach for the men's basketball program at Indiana University Southeast. He coached his first season under the direction of now Wake Forest University Director of Basketball Operations Walt Corbean and begins his second season as an assistant for Wiley Brown.
Prior to coming to IU Southeast, Thomas spent three years as an assistant coach at Louisville Seneca High School under the direction of former University of Louisville player and current Jeffersonville High School Athletic Director Tony Branch.
Thomas also founded the Louisville Street Heat AAU Basketball program. The basketball program fielded winning teams for both boys and girls (2002-2006). The Louisville Street Heat has produced several Kentucky All-Stars, All-State Team Members, along with many Regional and District Most Valuable Players (MVP).
Coach Thomas was a standout athlete in high school at Louisville Male. During his time as a Bulldog he lettered in both basketball and track and field. Thomas attended the University of Louisville, and is currently employed in healthcare.

Scott Wilkins begins his fourth season with the IU southeast men's basketball program. He begins this season in his second year as the Grenadier's video coordinator. He previously served as a team manager for two years prior to making the transition to video coordinator.
Wilkins duties as a video coordinator include getting game tapes for future opponents and breaking down the film for the coaches and players. Wilkins also tapes practices and coordinates all video exchange.
Prior to becoming a basketball manager, Wilkins ran four seasons for the IU Southeast cross country team from 1999-2003. He became the No. 1 runner on the team his final two seasons.
Wilkins is originally from Goshen, Kentucky and graduated from South Oldham High School in 1999. At South Oldham Wilkins managed the boys basketball team while also running track and cross country for the Dragons.
A graduate of IU Southeast, Wilkins received his bachelor's degree in general studies with a double minor in supervision and recreation/leadership in December of 2005.
Wilkins is a native of Oldham County and spends his free time as an assistant coach for the boys and girls cross country and track teams at South Oldham High School. He has aspirations of becoming an NCAA Division I men's assistant basketball coach and eventually a head coach.

Chris Burt is in his second year as the strength and conditioning coach for the men's basketball team at Indiana University Southeast. He has served as volunteer strength and conditioning consultant for the Grenadier baseball, basketball and women's softball programs since 2005. Hired by IU Southeast Athletic Director Pat Mrozowski in 2005 as a fitness center supervisor, Burt has conducted numerous fitness seminars for the IU Southeast community.
Prior to his stint at IU Southeast, Burt has served as the volunteer strength and conditioning coach for Shawnee High School's (Louisville, Ky.) football program. Burt's career as a strength and conditioning coach started in 2003 under the tutelage of local-renowned Exercise Physiologist Angela Carter-Lanon, while working for the YMCA of Greater Louisville.
A 2006 graduate of IU Southeast, Burt received his bachelor's degree in general studies with minors in supervision and recreation. He also earned a Master's of Science in health and wellness, with a concentration in performance enhancement and injury prevention, from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Burt currently works for IU Southeast and Ivy Tech Community College as an adjunct lecturer where he teaches various courses on strength and conditioning.
Burt is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds certifications from USA Weightlifting (Level 1 club coach, and referee) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (Performance Enhancement Specialist). Burt resides in Louisville, Ky. with his son Ian (5).
