NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast volleyball team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College 3-0 on Tuesday night (Oct. 25) at home.

The Grenadiers defeated the visiting Panthers of Kentucky Wesleyan: 25-15, 25-20, 25-15.

The IU Southeast volleyball team is now 20-9 (.690) overall and 6-0 in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC).
 
Sophomore Lindsey Rumph (Brownstown, Ind.) led the Grenadiers with 13 of the team's 46 total kills (.417%).

Senior Stacey Flatt (Louisville, Ky.) led the team with 34 of the team's 40 assists. Sophomore Lauren McCartin (Floyds Knobs, Ind.) led the Grenadiers a match-high 10 defensive digs. Stauble led the Grenadiers with three total blocks. Seniors Kara Draper (La Grange, Ky.) and Vanessa Stauble (Louisville, Ky.) each served a match-high two service aces.

Kentucky Wesleyan College (1-26 / 0-10 GLVC) struggled hitting throughout the evening with a team hitting percentage of .153 in three sets. Rebecca Grayson (Auburn, Ky.) led the Panthers with five of the team's 20 total kills (.571%). Emily Harpenau (Tell City, Ind.) led the Panthers defensively with seven digs.

IU Southeast will wrap-up this year's home volleyball schedule on Thursday night (Oct. 29) when the Grenadiers host Oakland City University at 7 p.m. in the Southeast Activities Building.

On Thursday night, IU Southeast athletics will celebrate volleyball senior night. Grenadier volleyball seniors Stacey Flatt, Vanessa Stauble and Kara Draper will be honored before the match for their contributions to IU Southeast.

Tickets for IU Southeast volleyball matches are $7 for adults. Students, faculty and staff of IU Southeast can gain free admission to all IU Southeast athletic events with the UCard.
