NEW ALBANY, Ind. – C.J. Combs has been named the head softball coach at Talladega College after two seasons as the pitching coach at IU Southeast.
Combs pitched one season for the Grenadiers in 2009 after transferring from Kalamazoo Valley C.C. She was an all-state pitcher while playing for East Central High School.
She has been a pitching instructor for five years and has helped various players move onto the college ranks. During her tenure as pitching coach, two pitchers have been named to the KIAC All-Conference team and Kayla Duke has been named KIAC Pitcher of the Year three years in a row. Duke was also named to the NAIA Softball Championship All-Tournament Team in 2012 following the Grenadiers' run to the final eight in the tournament.
