LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Indiana University Southeast volleyball team defeated Spalding University Golden Eagles 3-1 in Louisville on Wednesday night.
IUS defeated Spalding 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19.
The IU Southeast volleyball team is now 5-3 (.625) overall and 1-0 in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC).
The 2009 volleyball team is already off to a great start this season winning five of its first eight matches.
Next up for the Grenadiers is the Cedarville Invitational Tournament in Cedarville, Ohio. The Grenadiers will play four matches during the two day tournament on Friday (Sept. 11) and Saturday (Sept. 12).
IU Southeast will face St. Francis, IU East, Saint Xavier and host Cedarville. More information on the tournament can be found by

The Grenadier volleyball team will not return to action at home until the team hosts Midway College on September 22. Tickets for the match are $7 for adults. Students, faculty and staff of IU Southeast can gain free admission to all IU Southeast athletic events with UCard.
