NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast volleyball team received its first home loss of the season tonight 3-1 to the Tigers of Campbellsville University.

Campbellsville (5-1) defeated the IU Southeast 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21.

The first set of the match was very intense as the Grenadiers and the Tigers kept trading points in the tightly contest set. IU Southeast ended up winning the first set by three points, but in the end could not hold off Campbellsville, falling to the Tigers in the following three sets by a combined 12 points.

The Grenadiers fought back several times to make each set close, but could not quite overpower the Tigers.

The IU Southeast volleyball team is now 4-3 (.571) overall and 1-0 in the KIAC.

Next up for the Grenadiers is the Spalding University Golden Eagles. The two rival teams will clash for the first time this season next Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at Spalding University in Louisville, Ky.

The Grenadier volleyball team will not return to action at home until the team hosts Midway College on September 22. Tickets for the match are $7 for adults. Students, faculty and staff of IU Southeast can gain free admission to all IU Southeast athletic events with UCard.
