NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's basketball team could not overcome a slow start as it fell to Asbury 76-73 Thursday night.
 
The Grenadiers (17-7, 5-2 KIAC) were down by as many as 17 points in the first half before narrowing the lead to nine at halftime.
 
IU Southeast was able to the get the lead down to a point late in the game but they were not able to overtake the Eagles.
Senior Tia Wineinger had a great game from three-point range as she hit five of eight from behind the arc and led the all players in scoring with 23 points. 
 
Four players scored in double figures, including Ashmere Woods with 18, Megan Murphy with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Heather Wheat with 11 points.
 
The Grenadiers head to St. Louis Pharmacy on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.
