NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's basketball team dominated the Brescia Bearcats en route to a 71-45 victory Tuesday night in the Activities Building.
 
Megan Murphy had a double double with a game-high 17 points and 13 rebounds and four out of five starters scored in double figures for the Grenadiers.  Tia Wineinger had 15 points and nine rebounds, Heather Wheat also had 15 points and added six assists and Megan Cureton had 10 points.
The Grenadiers' (14-6, 4-1 KIAC)  tough defense forced 22 Bearcat turnovers and held them to 33 percent shooting.
 
Demi Wendt had 14 points for Brescia who fell to 7-13, 0-2 in KIAC play.
 
The Grenadiers are head on the road for the next three games, starting Friday at Miami-Middletown.  The next IU Southeast women's basketball home game is Thursday, January 26 at 7 p.m.
