WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast volleyball team had mixed success in its final two matches of the 2009 Grace College Classic on Saturday afternoon in Winona Lake, Ind.

The Grenadiers started the day strong by defeating tournament host Grace College 3-0 in the first match of the day. IU Southeast downed Grace 25-21, 25-16, 25-21. 

While the Grenadiers won the first match of the day with little doubt, the team struggled in the second match after a great start in the first set. In the final performance of the tournament, IU Southeast fell to Huntington University 3-1. IU Southeast won the first set before falling in the next three sets to lose the match. Huntington defeated the Grenadiers 14-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

IU Southeast is now 2-2 (.500) overall after its first weekend of competition in the 2009 NAIA volleyball season.
 
The Grenadiers will return home to New Albany for their home-opening match against Asbury College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night (8/26).
 
Tickets for the match are $8 for adults. Students, faculty and staff of IU Southeast can gain free admission to all IU Southeast athletic events with UCard.
 
Due to continued restoration efforts on the Southeast Activities Building after a summer storm displaced athletic department offices, all fans attending the game on Wednesday (8/26) are asked to enter the gym at the east ground (gym) level.
