NEW ALBANY, Ind. - IU Southeast will offer three fitness series classes during the spring 2012 semester. IU Southeast students, staff and faculty can take part in Turbo Kick, Yoga and Zumba classes free of charge.
This fitness series is sponsored by the IU Southeast Athletic Department, Housing Office, Campus Life, SPC and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Call the athletic office at (812) 941-2432 for more information or questions.

Turbo Kick (Mondays at 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Activities Building) - This fat-blasting, ab-defining cardio workout is sweeping the nation's health clubs and allows you to burn up to 1,000 calories an hour! A mix of kickboxing and simple dance grooves set to heart pounding dance music that will have you looking forward to your next workout.
Instructor: Chandra Mathews (YMCA Southern Indiana)
PiYo (Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Activities Building) - Lose weight and completely transform your body! PiYo is a strength workout all about working it to get the most for your workout. It's the perfect blend of many disciplines: sports training, core conditioning, dance, stretch, and athletic drills that will help kick up the calorie burn and build muscle! The dynamic blend of movement increases strength, core stability, and agility. This workout provides an incredible experience and helps you lose weight.
Instructor: Whitney Stiles (YMCA Southern Indiana)
Zumba (Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Activities Building) - This fun and upbeat workout involves dance and aerobic elements. The program is a blend of contagious and easy-to-follow choreography set to upbeat international rhythms. This provides an effective workout as it tones and sculpts while burning fat.
