NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Sara Schum was named the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Schum, a 5-10 freshman from Holy Cross High School in Louisville, had 40 kills and 124 total attacks in 14 games played last week. The Grenadiers went 2-2 for the week with victories coming over Berea and Union College. IU Southeast currently has an overall record of 14-10 and a conference record of 6-3.

Schum leads the Grenadiers in kills with 205 for the season. The Grenadiers are ranked number 17 in the nation with 718 kills this year.

IU Southeast is back in action Tuesday night when they host Cincinnati Christian at 7 p.m.
