NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Indiana University Southeast announced today that Elizabeth Wooden and Alicia Corcoran-Scott have been hired as new co-coaches for the IU Southeast dance team effective immediately.
"We are very excited to have Elizabeth and Alicia join our athletic family," said IU Southeast Athletic Director Joe Glover. "They bring a wealth of experience and talent to our program and we are very lucky to have them to take our dance team to the next level."
Wooden is a 2005 graduate of Ball State University where she was a member of the Code Red Dance Team. Wooden is also currently a teacher and choreographer at Simmons Performing Arts Studio in Jeffersonville.
Corcoran-Scott is an alumnus from IU Southeast where she earned her Bachelor of Science in English Literature with Theatre Entertainment concentration.
Corcoran-Scott is the owner of Simmons Performing Arts Studio Jeffersonville and has been an actor and performer for the Derby Dinner Playhouse and at the Jeffersonville RiverStage. A veteran coach, Corcoran-Scott has been teaching and coaching dance for 15 years. She also brings with her 30 years of training in jazz, tap and ballet.
The new coaches are beginning preparations for next season immediately by holding tryouts for next year's team on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Simmonds Performing Arts Studio in Jeffersonville, IN at 2 p.m. Those who plan on trying out for the squad should plan to attend the open tryout.

Team will be conducting a dance camp for children in the morning the week of August 2-6th
