NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The fall sports Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Preseason Coaches' Polls were released Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010.

The IU Southeast women's tennis team was selected to finish first in the conference according to the preseason poll. The team received five first place votes with a total of 40 points to put them on top of this year's competition.

Brescia University came in second this year in the voting receiving a total of 34 points. Last season Brescia finished the season in second with an overall conference record of 6-2. Midway College received 32 points in the poll which put them in third this season, Midway finished the year in third place as well with an overall conference record of 3-5.

Under second year head coach Jenni Walters, the Grenadiers open their fall season on September 4 when they compete in the DePauw Invitational at DePauw University. IU Southeast returns several players from last year's squad who finished 13-3 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the conference.

The first IU Southeast home match is set for September 11 when the Grenadiers take on Southern Indiana at 10 a.m.
