LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) recently announced that Indiana University Southeast has won the 2009-10 KIAC Commissioner's Cup for a second consecutive year.

The commissioner's cup is determined based upon an average of a team's regular season performance. The highest possible average is 10 (meaning a school won every single title in each sport they competed in. IU Southeast won five of its seven regular season sport titles this past year and finished as conference runner-up in two sports. The Grenadiers were conference regular season champions in men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball and women's tennis.

IU Southeast averaged 9.71 points under the commissioner cup scoring system, beating out Brescia University at 8.31 and Asbury College at 7.85.

"We are very proud of what our student-athletes have accomplished," said IU Southeast Athletic Director Pat Mrozowski. "As the KIAC Commissioner's Cup signifies, we had a very successful year. Our athletes and coaches bring a lot of pride to our University."
