NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The Indiana University Southeast softball team clinched the KIAC Regular Season Title last week to earn the No. 1-seed in this weekend's KIAC Softball Tournament.

The Grenadiers will travel to Owensboro, Ky. on Friday to begin play in this year's conference softball tournament. As the No. 1 seed, the Grenadiers receive a first round bye in the six-team double elimination tournament.

IU Southeast will play the winner of Midway College vs. Berea College at 2 p.m. (CT) on Friday afternoon.

Midway and Berea will take on each other earlier on Friday morning at 10 a.m.

The Grenadiers enter postseason play with a 30-12 overall record and a 17-1 KIAC conference record. The 17 conference victories are the most for the program since its inception in 2007.

The conference tournament champion will represent the KIAC at the 30th Annual NAIA Softball National Championship in Decatur, Ala. at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex from May 20-26.

The Grenadiers last competed in the NAIA Softball National Championship in 2008.
