KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Indiana University Southeast women's tennis team finds itself just outside the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll this week. The Grenadier women's program received 18 overall votes for the top 25 ranking. The Grenadiers are currently 12-2 overall with an undefeated 8-0 record in the KIAC under first year head coach Jenni Walters.

Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) earns 343 points and 12 first place votes to earn the No. 1 ranking in the coaches' top 25 poll for the 46th straight time, the NAIA announced on Tuesday. No. 2 Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University earned one first-place vote to remain in second place.

No. 3 Concordia University (Calif.), No. 4 Point Loma Nazarene University (Calif.) and No. 5 Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) round out the top five.

Auburn Montgomery (16-3, 5-0 Southern States Athletic Conference) has won three SSAC matches since the last poll on April 6. The Lady Senators defeated Columbia (S.C.) and Brenau (Ga.), 9-0 and 8-1, respectively, on April 9 and followed up with a 9-0 victory over Lee (Tenn.) on April 14. Auburn Montgomery's next match is during the SSAC Tournament April 23-24.

Eight conferences and unaffiliated groupings are represented in the poll. The Golden State Athletic Conference leads all groups with seven ranked schools. The GSAC is represented by Fresno Pacific, Concordia, Point Loma Nazarene, Azusa Pacific, No. 9 Vanguard (Calif.), No. 22 Westmont (Calif.) and No. 24 Biola (Calif.). The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference and SSAC each have four schools represented in the poll.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groupings. The next poll will be announced on May 4.
