LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IU Southeast softball team swept the top KIAC weekly softball honors for the third consecutive week as announced by the conference on Monday. Tara Denzik earned the KIAC Player of the Week award while Kelsey Everett earned KIAC Pitcher of the Week honors. This is the first time that Denzik has won player of the week honors this season. For Everett, this is her second consecutive top-pitcher of the week award.

Tara Denzik:
IU Southeast senior
Tara Denzik has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for April 5 - April 11. This is the first week Denzik has won the conference player of the week award.
Denzik is a senior first baseman from Louisville, Ky. Denzik attended Butler High School before attending IU Southeast. Denzik drove home 7 runs after hitting 8-of-14 on the week. Against Midway College she batted six for seven with two doubles and two RBI's.

Kelsey Everett:
IU Southeast sophomore
Kelsey Everett has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 5 - April 11. This is the second consecutive week Everett has won the conference pitcher of the week award this year.
Everett is a sophomore pitcher from Veedersburg, Ind. Everett attended Fountain Central High School before attending IU Southeast. Everett did not allow an earned run on the week and struck out 11 batters in 11.1 innings pitched. Her record improves to 7-5 on the year.
