Everett and Sutherland Earn KIAC Weekly Awards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IU Southeast softball team swept the top KIAC weekly softball honors this week as announced by the conference on Monday. Megan Sutherland earned the KIAC Player of the Week award while Kelsey Everett earned KIAC Pitcher of the Week honors. This is the first time either player has won the top KIAC softball weekly award.

Megan Sutherland:

IU Southeast freshman Megan Sutherland has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for March 29 - April 4. This is the first week Sutherland has won the conference player of the week award.

Sutherland is a freshman utility player from Louisville, Ky. Sutherland attended Butler High School before attending IU Southeast. She went 3-of-5 in the double header with Asbury University. Sutherland drove home all three runs in the second game.

Kelsey Everett:

IU Southeast sophomore Kelsey Everett has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for March 29 - April 4. This is the first week Everett has won the conference pitcher of the week award this year.

Everett is a sophomore pitcher from Veedersburg, Ind. Everett attended Fountain Central High School before attending IU Southeast. Everett held Asbury University to three hits in a 3-0 shutout win. She has an ERA of 1.83 in 69 innings pitched on the season.
