KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Indiana University Southeast women's tennis team finds itself just outside the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll this week. The Grenadier women's program received 30 overall votes for the top 25 ranking. The Grenadiers are currently 10-2 overall with an undefeated 8-0 record in the KIAC under first year head coach Jenni Walters.

Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) earned 13 first-place votes to be named No. 1 in the NAIA Top 25 Poll for the 44th straight time, the NAIA announced on Tuesday. Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University captured two first-place votes to remain in second place.

No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) University, No. 4 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Fla.) and No. 5 Concordia (Calif.) University round out the top five.

Auburn Montgomery (8-2, 2-0 Southern States Athletic Conference) held on to the number one rating, despite falling twice to ranked NCAA Division II schools. The Lady Senators fell to No. 2 Lynn (Fla.), 6-3, on March 16 and No. 10 Rollins (Fla.), 6-3 on March 17. Auburn Montgomery bounced back with a 7-2 win over NCAA Division II No. 5 Barry (Fla.) on March 18.

Eight conferences and unaffiliated groupings are represented in the poll. The Golden State Athletic Conference and leads all groups with six ranked schools. The GSAC is represented by Fresno Pacific, Point Loma Nazarene, Concordia, No. 6 Azusa Pacific (Calif.), No. 10 Vanguard (Calif.) and No. 18 Westmont (Calif.).

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groupings. The next poll will be announced on March 23.
