NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven games with a sweep of Brescia University 26-24, 25-19, 25-11 on Tuesday.
Hannah Sipe had 35 assists and Loftus led the team with 21 digs.
The Grenadiers (7-11, 4-1 RSC) trailed 21-18 in the first set before a kill by Parker Andres cut the lead to one a 21-20 and Loftus tied the set at 22. Andres gave the Grenadiers a 25-24 lead with another kill and a set error by Alex Satterfield gave the Grenadiers the set.
In the second set, IU Southeast led 17-15 but Willinger and Andres had two kills each in the final eight points to secure the second set for the Grenadiers.
IU Southeast jumped out to a 19-2 lead in the third set and cruised to a 25-11 win and sweep.
The Grenadiers travel to Cincinnati Christian on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest.
