NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after doubles play with Alexis Applegate/Camille Greenwell and Tamerra Horton/Lauren Winchell both winning in decisive fashion.
In singles action, Tamerra Horton put the Grenadiers up 3-1 with Lauren Winchell soon to follow extending the lead to 4-1. Dana Frank was able to mount a second set comeback and force a deciding third set that came up just short. With the Grenadiers leading 4-2 Camille Greenwell was able to clinch the match with a 6-0,6-2 victory to give the Grenadiers the victory. Alexis Applegate dropped a close three-set match and Peighton Dobbins fell at the No. 6 singles position. The Grenadiers are now 2-0 in dual matches on the season.
The Grenadiers travel to Bellarmine on October 8.
