LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The IU Southeast volleyball team defeated MacMurray College and Spalding University on Saturday and dropped just one set in the process.

  

The Grenadiers (3-11) defeated MacMurray 22-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-14 to open play on Saturday and followed that with a 25-21, 25-18, 25-21 sweep of host Spalding.

The freshman duo of Alexis Bassett and Parker Andres led the way offensively for the Grenadiers.

The pair had 14 kills apiece against MacMurray. Danielle Meyer had nine kills and Monica Loftus and Kelsey Willinger each added eight.

Freshman Hannah Sipe had a season-high 53 assists for the Grenadiers.

IU Southeast finished the match with 63 kills to MacMurray's 36.

In the second match of the day, Andres and Bassett came through once again. Bassett had 11 kills and Andres and Loftus each added nine.

Loftus and Sipe each had a pair of aces as well.

IU Southeast hosts Cincinnati Christian Tuesday at 7 p.m.
