NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team was swept by Campbellsville in the 2017 home opener for the Grenadiers, falling 25-18, 25-14, 25-23.

The Grenadiers (0-5) trailed 15-14 in the opening set before the Tigers closed the frame on a 10-4 run.

A kill by Lindsey Howell tied the second set at seven but Campbellsville roared off 18 of the next 25 points to take it 25-14.

IU Southeast kept the third set close as Campbellsville largest lead was just four points. The Grenadiers cut the lead to 22-21 but could not force a fourth set.

Lindsey Howell led the Grenadiers with six kills and New Albany native Parker Andres added five in her home debut.

Annija Abolina had 14 kills to lead the Tigers.

IU Southeast heads to Indiana Wesleyan for a two-day tournament on Friday. The Grenadiers face IU East and Taylor on Friday.
