NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Hannah Sipe has signed to play volleyball at IU Southeast, Grenadier head coach Eric Brian announced.

Sipe, a Seymour H.S. product, was a first-team Hoosier Hills Conference selection at setter. She had 793 assists, 240 digs, 96 kills and 34 aces for the Owls, who finished with a 20-14 record.

"I was familiar with a few of the players and the coach," Sipe said in the Seymour Tribune. "I played club volleyball down at Union in New Albany for five years. I'm very familiar with the area and knew the program a little bit.

"(Education) was the No. 1 priority in picking a school to play volleyball, and IU Southeast has a great nursing program. I'm looking forward to the bonds and relationships I will make with people from different areas. I'm looking forward to representing IU Southeast."

The Grenadiers went 23-14 and 12-4 in conference play. The 2017 campaign begins at Lindsey Wilson on August 18.
