HATTIESBURG, Miss.  – The IU Southeast softball team fell 11-2 to No. 20 Southern Oregon to end the Grenadiers' season on Tuesday.

Southern Oregon (41-13) opened the scoring in the top of the first. Kelsey Randall led off with a triple and scored on a sacrifice bunt from Kayleen Smith. After Morgan Keefer dropped a fly ball to put Harlee Donovan on base, a single from Tyler Burke made it 2-0.

The Grenadiers (28-23) tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the frame when Kyndyl Olds reached base on a misplayed grounder and advanced on a bunt from Emily Hollis. Olds was stranded at second to end the threat.

The Raiders added a pair of runs in the top of the second after another leadoff triple. Two RBI singles plated a pair.

The Grenadiers cut the lead in half in the bottom of the third when Keefer led off with a single and Olds followed two batters later with another single. Sydney Seger came through with a two out, two-run double.

Southern Oregon scored in five of the seven innings and blew the game open with a four-run seventh.
