NEW ALBANY, Ind. – IU Southeast Director of Athletics Joe Glover has been elected to the NAIA Athletic Director's Association (NAIA-ADA) Executive Board beginning in June 2017.

"I am honored that my colleagues in the NAIA have elected me to serve on this important board," Glover said. "Athletic Directors on campuses around the NAIA play a pivotal role in in serving our student-athletes and coaches. I look forward to helping the ADA Board of Directors as it continues to support the leaders on campus who make the NAIA an even stronger association every day."

In 2017-18, Glover will be the secretary for the executive board and will rotate through the board over the next four years:

2017-18: Secretary
2018-19: 2nd Vice President
2019-20: 1st Vice President
2020-21: President
2021-22: Past President

The purpose of the NAIA-ADA is to promote the development and welfare of intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program of higher education, and to foster the professional growth of university officials charged with the responsibilities of coordinating athletic programs; namely the director of intercollegiate athletics.

The NAIA-ADA also engages Athletic Directors with meaningful collaboration and national recognition while promoting the NAIA Athletic Directors' collective voice on issues affecting membership and college athletics on a national scale.

The next NAIA-ADA Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for June 8-15 in Orlando, Fla. at the NACDA Convention.

Glover, who was named the Director of Athletics at Indiana University Southeast in 2010, also serves on the National Administrative Council (NAC) of the NAIA.

He is a member of the NAC's Championships Committee and has chaired several important national taskforces, including the one which standardized basketball national championship bracketing procedures and policies in 2015. Currently, he is also a member of the national taskforce that is studying the current basketball divisional structure within the NAIA.

Glover serves as President of the River States Conference Administrative Council and was named Athletic Director of the Year in 2013.

A native of New Albany (IN), Glover graduated from IU Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Additionally, Glover earned his M.B.A. from the IU Southeast School of Business.
