INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Southeast men's tennis team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 7-2 win over St. Francis.

The Grenadiers started out with some excellent doubles play at all three positions. The No. 1 tandem of Jonathan James and Garrett Fensler won 8-5, followed by No. 2 doubles Chris Braun and Daulton Fensler who lead 7-1 before finishing off their opponents 8-4.  At the No. 3 position Brock Winchell and Bryson Mills dispatched their opponents 8-3.

In singles play all three freshmen Brock Winchell, Garrett Fensler and Sam Venter all took their matches in straight sets at the 1, 2 and 6 singles spots.  Senior Bryson Mills was able to pull out a close three set match 11-9 in the third set tiebreaker.

"Overall it was a very well rounded performance from our team from top to bottom," head coach Joe Epkey said.  "After playing some tough teams recently the Grenadiers bounced back extremely well. We look forward to getting to work outdoors soon."

The team has a couple of weeks off before starting the outdoor season with a home match against NCAA Division I Wright State on March 10.
