NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Jocelyn Mousty had 15 points and 14 rebounds to help lead IU Southeast past Brescia in her final regular season game at IU Southeast.
Both teams had great starts offensively both shot over 40 percent from the field. IU Southeast led 37-33 at halftime.
Kelsey Kirkpatrick keyed the Brescia offense in the first half, scoring 14 points on five-of-six shooting from the field. She also hit four three-pointers. She finished with a game-high 17 points.
The Grenadiers (16-14, 11-7 RSC) shut down the Bearcat attack in the second half. They held Brescia to 9-of-36 shooting from the field in the second half and only 3-of-12 from three-point range.
IU Southeast led 54-51 to start the fourth quarter and used a 19-4 run to put the game away.
The Grenadiers are the No. 3 seed in the RSC West and will hit the road for the RSC Quarterfinals which will be held on Wednesday. Tournament opponents and game times will be announced by the conference later this weekend.
