NEW ALBANY, Ind. – No. 24-ranked IU Southeast bounced back from a Saturday defeat to get a 78-64 win over Alice Lloyd on Tuesday.
Jamie Johnson had 18 points to lead the Grenadiers. Demetrius Stanton had 15 and Joe Jackson had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Jackson gave the Grenadiers a 31-30 lead with a jumper just before halftime. IU Southeast pulled away with a 28-10 run to give the Grenadiers a 58-40 lead with 10 minutes left in the contest.
Jake Allen had 15 points for the Eagles.
Though IU Southeast was dominated in the second-chance points catergory 22-7, the Grenadier defense was strong on the perimeter as they held the Eagles to 3-of-22 shooting (14 percent) from three-point range.
The Grenadiers host Asbury Saturday at 3 p.m.
