NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team shut down the visiting Carlow offense as IU Southeast pulled away in the second half and won 74-51 on Friday.

The Grenadiers (9-10, 4-5 RSC) held the Celtics to seven points in the second quarter and nine points in the third quarter to pull away.

IU Southeast trailed 16-15 after the first quarter but outscored Carlow 43-16 over the next two quarters. In the third quarter alone, IU Southeast forced 11 turnovers and outscored the Celtics 30-9. The Grenadiers led by as many as 33 in the contest.

Annie Thomas led the Grenadier with 13 points and Madi Woods added nine points. The Grenadiers won the battle on the glass 53-26 and shut out the Celtics in second-chance points 23-0.

IU Southeast hosts Point Park University tomorrow at 1 p.m.
