NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team dropped a 70-55 decision to Cincinnati Christian on Saturday.

The Grenadiers' offense struggled for the majority of the game and was slowed by 18 turnovers which the Eagles used to score 24 points.

Ashley Lyninger led IU Southeast with 12 points and eight rebounds. Brittany Wells had 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting to lead the Eagles.

IU Southeast was outscored 24-9 in the second quarter and trailed 42-21 at halftime.

The Grenadiers (8-9, 3-5 RSC) made just seven field goals in the first half and did not convert a three-point field goal until Ariana Sandefur made a three-pointer with 12 second left in the third quarter.

IU Southeast shot 4-of-26 (15 percent) from behind-the-arc in the game.

The Grenadiers host Oakland City Tuesday at 7 p.m.
