The Grenadiers (10-4, 4-1 RSC) fell behind early as they started very slowly on the offensive end. They made just eight field goals in the first half and shot 8-of-23 from the field. IU Southeast trailed 39-23 at halftime.
The Grenadiers also committed 21 turnovers in the game which added to the offensive issues.
Though the offense awoke in the second half, the deficit was too big to overcome. Johnson and Landry had strong second half performances, scoring 17 points and 10 points, respectively.
The IU Southeast defense could not get enough stops as they allowed the Golden Bears to shoot 46 percent from the field in the contest.
The Grenadiers travel to Rio Grande on Saturday for a battle with the RedStorm. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
