MONTGOMERY, W.Va. -- This week's edition of the River States Conference Men's Basketball Game of the Week takes the stage in primetime Friday night at 8 p.m. for No. 18 IU Southeast (10-3, 4-0 RSC) at WVU Tech (9-5, 3-1 RSC)

Friday's matchup puts defense and rebounding into focus, and there is also plenty of offense on both sides. Watch Live on WVU Tech's YouTube page and follow live stats via SideARM at the links above. Follow on Twitter with hashtag #RSCgotw and @RiverStatesConf and @RSCScores.

IU Southeast has the top defense in the conference and ranks first in the nation in field-goal defense (36.8 percent) and blocks (5.8 bpg). The Grenadiers are first in the conference and ninth nationally in scoring defense at 70.1 ppg.

WVU Tech is the top rebounding team in the conference and ranks second in NAIA Division II in total rebounds per game (45.2 rpg) and rebound margin (+14.1 rpg). The Golden Bears are second in the RSC in scoring defense at 74.23 ppg.

The offensive side end of the court is also a good matchup. IU Southeast has three guards averaging double figures with Jamie Johnson (14.0 ppg), Demetrius Stanton (13.9 ppg) and Joe Ferree (10.0 ppg). Starting forwards Robert Sawyer (9.7 ppg) and Joe Jackson (9.2 ppg) come in just under double digits and provide size at 6-foot-7 each.

WVU Tech has guard Ryan Atkins second in the conference averaging 22.1 ppg. Elisha Boone puts up 13.5 ppg. The Golden Bears can match size down low with 6-8 Michael Scott and 6-9 Patrick Gnagbo in the starting lineup. The WVU Tech bench has three players at 7.0+ ppg.

IU Southeast leads the RSC West Division at 4-0 RSC as the only team in the division unbeaten in conference play. WVU Tech is 3-1 RSC after winning its most-recent conference game over No. 10 IU East back on Dec. 17. That was a home game for the Golden Bears, who are 6-2 at home (2-0 RSC).
