LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2010 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Baseball Poll was released this week. All KIAC baseball coaches at member schools participated in the polling on the regular season finish of the conference teams.

In baseball, Indiana University Southeast is projected as the top team, with 31 points out of a possible 36. Three of the six first place votes were secured by IU Southeast. Asbury College gained two first place votes and finished with 30 points.

Brescia University had the other first place vote and 28 points. The bottom three is separated by over 10 points from the top pack. Berea College finished with 17 points, Alice Lloyd College with 13, and Cincinnati Christian University with seven votes.

The IU Southeast baseball team finished 33-21 last season with a 13-3 record in the KIAC. The Grenadiers were rained out of their season-opener last weekend. IU Southeast is set to begin its 2010 campaign this upcoming Friday (Feb. 12) when the team travels to Waleska, Ga. to take on Reinhardt College.
