NEW ALBANY, Ind. – IU Southeast was swept by IU Kokomo and lost in four set to Cincinnati Christian on Saturday.

Against IU Kokomo, the Grenadiers hung tough with IU Kokomo in the first set, dropping a 25-21 decision. IU Kokomo (20-7, 11-3 RSC) pulled away in the second set 25-15 and came from behind to win the third set 25-21 and complete the sweep.

Hannah Joly and Monica Loftus had seven kills each to lead IU Southeast. Natalie Keene and Joly each had 15 digs and Loftus chipped in with 11.

Against Cincinnati Christian, the Grenadiers jumped out to an early lead with a 25-21 first set win. The match was close throughout, with both schools only leading by no more than four points in any set.

The Eagles (16-8, 8-5 RSC) kept the Grenadiers at arm's length leading 21-19 and the Grenadiers could not find a way to tie and take the lead late in the frame.

IU Southeast (22-12, 11-4 RSC) led the third set 21-18 but a 7-1 run from the Eagles gave them the set.

The Grenadiers trailed 6-1 to open the fourth set but rallied to make the score 22-21 but they could not overcome the deficit and fell 25-23.

Monica Loftus had 17 kills to lead IU Southeast. Hannah Joly had 15 and Mary Dye added 11.

The Grenadiers host Brescia University Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on Senior Day. Hannah Barker, Mary Dye and Katie Fischer will be honored prior to the match.
